“Having two young boys made me realise how interested children can be in science. It is important to capture this early excitement and to make them aware that science is not something which only other people do but something which effects their lives directly.
We need to support and grow this interest not only to ensure the continuing strength of science in this country but to help demystify science. Increasingly people have to make choices based on scientific evidence and will require increasing scientific literacy.
Early exposure to the excitement of science and experimentation, through good science education, can only help generate the interest required to build this literacy. The Royal Society partnerships offer an ideal opportunity to inspire and provide ideas for exciting science education.”
This site has been created to act as support and inspiration to other schools and scientists thinking of setting up a science project.
